I am so excited to be part of the Alvarado Indian family!

A little bit about me… My husband and I have been married for 22 years and have two children. My daughter is 22 and recently graduated from Oklahoma State University. My son is 19 and will start at Oklahoma State this August. I enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with my family.

This will be my 20th year in education.(If you don’t count all of those years I spent teaching my stuffed animals as a kid.) I earned my Bachelor's degree from Texas Wesleyan University in 2002 and my Master’s degree from Concordia University in 2016. I have taught all subjects in Kindergarten through 3rd Grade. During summer camps, after school programs and Saturday enrichment courses, I have taught up to 8th grade. Most recently I have been an elementary curriculum coordinator. The best days at that job were the ones spent on a campus. I am thrilled to continue building relationships and supporting not only educators, but scholars and families in my role as the Assistant Principal this year.
