Alvarado Elementary South hosted its 13th annual Thanksgiving fundraiser, Gobble-A-Go-Go, on Friday, Nov. 16.
The students and teachers, along with parents if they wanted to participate, took a bus to Charles Head Stadium and walked four laps around the track.
The walkers earned money by making donations of at least $1. This year the school raised $724 that will be given to Santa’s Helpers. The walk was sponsored by the school’s Student Council, which is led by teachers Tracy Petty and Kathy James.
“This walk is an annual tradition for South and the best part about it is giving back to our community,” principal Karla Moore said.
